The Ministry of State Secretariat has soft-launched SIAPP New Version, a government administration platform Binari helped build, streamlining official appointment and personnel processes across 11 pilot agencies.

Jakarta, Indonesia - November 22, 2022 - The Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) held a soft launching ceremony for SIAPP New Version (Sistem Informasi Administrasi Pejabat Pemerintahan), a digital administration platform Binari worked on as part of the ministry’s push toward digital government services. The event, held at Gedung Krida Bhakti in Jakarta, marked the start of a pilot phase involving 11 government agencies.

SIAPP New Version handles six categories of administrative processes for government officials and civil servants: appointments and terminations for expert officials, rank promotions, non-structural agency appointments, and special ministerial staff placements. These processes previously ran on manual, paper-based workflows spread across multiple agencies, the kind of multi-step approval work Binari’s Approval Management System solution is built to streamline.

Deputy for Administration and Apparatus Nanik Purwanti said the shift toward flexible, IT-enabled work accelerated during the pandemic, and platforms like SIAPP are part of the ministry’s response to that shift. The system is also integrated with BKN’s SIASN platform and the TOOS application, and connects with PT TASPEN and Bank Mandiri Taspen to speed up pension and benefit payments tied to official appointments.

For Binari, this is typical of its government work: systems that plug into other agencies and existing state platforms, instead of one more standalone tool added to an already complicated bureaucratic process.
