SINERGI, an energy conservation reporting platform Binari developed together with PT MZI for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, was named a Top Commendable Innovation in Indonesia's 2021 national public service innovation competition.

Jakarta, Indonesia - July 29, 2021 - SINERGI (Sistem Informasi Konservasi Energi), a website-based reporting platform Binari developed together with PT MZI for the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), was named a Top Commendable Innovation at Indonesia’s 2021 Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP), run by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB).

The recognition came out of a national field of 1,619 submitted innovations. SINERGI advanced through the competition’s Top 45 and Top 99 evaluation stages before receiving the Top Commendable Innovation distinction, presented at an award ceremony where Minister of ESDM Arifin Tasrif and Director General of EBTKE Dadan Kusdiana represented the ministry and Minister of PAN-RB Tjahjo Kumolo announced the winners.

The platform consolidates several energy conservation reporting processes that used to run as separate tools, including online energy management reporting (POME), the Subroto Award for energy efficiency, and a searchable database of energy-efficient equipment labeling. Stakeholders now use one platform to report, track, and pull energy conservation data instead of juggling several disconnected systems.

For Binari, SINERGI was built around a practical goal: making energy conservation compliance and reporting easier for the organizations required to do it, in line with the ministry’s push to cut greenhouse gas emissions through better energy management.
