Chaerul Umam

Chaerul Umam is a Full Stack Web Developer at Binari, working primarily with PHP and Laravel. He is based in Tangerang, Banten, and studied at Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Asing Technocrat, a foreign languages college, before moving into software development.

Before writing code for a living, Chaerul spent close to nine years in warehouse and logistics operations, including several years as a warehouse admin and later a sales operation officer at PT Coolvita Maju Sehat. That operational background gave him a practical, ground-level view of how business processes actually run, something he still carries into how he approaches building software. He moved into full stack development in 2025, first at PT. Implementa Mandiri Pratama, before joining Binari.

At Binari, he works on PHP and Laravel-based web development, contributing to the applications and features behind the company's client projects.

Beyond product work, Chaerul also contributes to Binari's Knowledge Hub, writing for the web development and software development channels.
